The Great Yorkshire Show 2025
April 23, 2025The Great Yorkshire returns the 8th-11th July 2025 and we can not wait!
What is the Great Yorkshire Show?
The Great Yorkshire Show is one of England’s premier agricultural events, held annually at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. Organised by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society (YAS), the show celebrates farming, food, and rural life, attracting over 140,000 visitors and featuring more than 8,500 animals each year.
What to expect on the day
Make your way to the Blue, Gold or Brown gates (depending on your ticket), where there will be people to welcome you. There may be a baggage search on arrival. You can bring from outside, however, you are strongly encouraged to visit the many food stalls. There is no where to leave picnic baskets so anything you bring must stay with you at all times.
There are events happening throughout the day, check your timetable for timings and locations. For the main arena you will have to book your seats for the stands in advance, otherwise there are benches at the other side of the arena, however, they are heavily exposed to the weather.
Highlights
The bird of prey demonstrations (weather and bird depending).
The Heavy Horses
Scurry Time Trials
Sheep Dog Trials
And of course, The Show Jumping!

Accommodation
Coming for the The Great Yorkshire Show? Need somewhere to stay? Great news we have five cottages in Harrogate. Four of our cottages are near to the centre of town, a 10min drive from the show ground, so we would recommend bringing a car or ordering a taxi. There is also a bus service.
Artists Loft however, is located off Leeds Road and is about a 35min walk or a 5min drive away. See our website for details and book your stay today!
