Review Square and Compass
June 13, 2025Why we love the Square and Compass
The Square and Compass has become an office favourite. When we want to get away from the hustle and bustle of town and soak up a bit of the country air, the Square and Compass is where we like to go. A friendly welcome is always guaranteed, and best of all, we can bring the office dog! He loves it there. Complimentary treats, a bowl of water, what more could a dog wish for?
Amazing Food
The Square and Compass have an amazing menu, from pub classics to their own unique creations.
My personal recordation is their baked goats cheese with honey roasted fig and chilli jam. Absolutely delicious! For mains I usually go with their Thai Duck Red Curry, or their Haddock and Chips. Can not beat a classic!
I would also recommend trying their Sunday Roast, only available on Sunday, but worth the wait!
Other food options are available and they are excellent at catering to dietary requirements.

They host a number events and special occasions throughout the year. Mothers' Day, Fathers' Day and Pancake Day are particular favourites.
